Halo British Downhill Series Round 4: Results/Video

27 June 2011  |
This weekend passed held the 4th round of the Halo British Downhill Series, at the infamously steep Welsh track of Llangollen. Riders were greeted with wet weather on arrival Friday but as the weekend progressed and the sun came out, the track became very fast and loose. Brendan Fairclough lost his title of 'King Of Llangollen' after Josh 'Ratboy' Bryceland stole his possible 4th win in a row by a good 3.1 seconds. Along with Bryceland the top 4 spots were all taken by British youngsters, including Sam Dale in 2nd, Danny Hart 3rd and Joe Smith in 4th. Steve Peat had a crash in his race run and had this to say on his twitter: "Great day @britishdownhill shame I spoilt it with a crash !!! Yes @Ratboy_Bryce 1st spot , nice one brother." The Elite Women category was won by another youngster rider Manon Carpenter, who is already making her mark on the World Cup Circuit at the age of 17.
